ok lads me and the wife bought a house for 41000 witch me got life insurance for 41000 plus critcal ilness, witch as been running now for 7 years, we move our morgage and upped it to 81000 this year, so is it possible for us to get life insurrance with any insurrance company for just the other 40000, reason i,m asking this is if we keep the same policy thay wont 100 a month at the moment we pay 36 pound, so can we do this or i must cancel everything like critical ilness to bring it down to 47 pound

Yes. There is no limit to the number of policies you can have.

Often, keeping the existing one and doing a top up can be the cheapest option (but not always). Also, older CI plans can have better terms than modern ones.

be careful with critical illness cover. Read the T&c carefully. existing conditions may not be covered. As my wife found out, certain conditions when they occur are not covered even when you think they might be.
