Re the emails you've received, just delete them - DON'T open them. Delete them, then empty the trash/recycle.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0

Is that the best thing to do, just delete the dodgy ones from the junk folder say once or twice a day (without opening them) and leave it at that?
I didn't used to get any rubbish coming through before.
My friend has a computer, she bought anti this and that but she still can't rid of some rude stuff that appeared from nowhere. Because she is a childminder she can't allow the kids to use the computer anymore. It's not where you can allow or not allow mild swearing to nudity etc, it's where you search - she clicks on search and all these rude phrase pop up 'o*** s** etc.
So if she has paid for the discs and still can't get rid I suppose I am getting off lightly by being able to send stuff to the junk folder.
BTW thanks very much for all the help I have been given-perhaps I should point my friend in this direction-it has really spoiled having the computer because it was bought with the kids in mind. All credit cards paid off.

Sounds like your friend has an issue with spyware. You can do a lot yourself using Spybot Search & Destory (https://www.spybot.info) and Ad-Aware SE Personal (https://www.lavasoft.de). Tell her to make sure she uses the update feature on both, then disconnect from the web before scanning with them0

Yes, I feel sorry for her because we are both useless with computers and whenever we talk to people about fixing it they always say' "I bet you or your husband have been looking at naughty sites" but they really haven't.
The list with the rude words are actually on the front screen of her PC and she just can't get rid of it - the words that show up on the list (without having to search, they are just there for all to see) would make an adult blush and she dare not allow the kids to use it.All credit cards paid off.

So its in the middle of her PC desktop (screen) all the time?0

Yes, it's to the left-you click to search and instead of it being blank there are things you can choose to click on-the rude sentences are there for you to click on. I tried to right click and pressed delete but they re-appear.All credit cards paid off.
