hi
i started working self employed in jan this yr,16 hrs a week. previously income support and then jsa.
so on the last tax credit form i had £600 and something profit from jan 2012 to april2012
ive had the forms back and they are still paying about the same, full wtc
im concerned they will say next april that ive been overpaid as they have based the calculations on my only earning £600 last yr
does that make any sense?

You will only be overpaid if you think this year's income (from April 12 to April 13 will be higher by £10,000 or more.
Whatever you expect your 12-13 income to be, you need to give them an estimate. Even if it is less than 10,000 you will need to tell them so you are not overpaid from April 13.
