I have an 18 year old with aspergers/adhd/ocd and a 15 year old with adhd and dyspraxia. I do recall one woman I came into contact with when my two were younger, her son was on clonidine. This is going back about 6/7 years. She had gone down the private medicine route (loadsa money) and her kid was on clonidone and also had to take something else as the clonidone affected his sleep. Anyway, it so happens that he now goes to the same school as my son. He refuses to take medication these days but I have to say he is a bit of a handful.
Definitely think if you're not happy with it, dont agree to it. Too often we end up agreeing because we are so bl**dy knackered we cant summon up the energy to argue. This has happened with my recently over my daughter's treatment and it just comes back and bites you on the b*m at the end of the day. You are her parents and you have every right to a second opinion.
Good luck.Ellie
