There is a case going through the german court's questioning the legality of helping greece financially, judgement will be on tuesday. Personally I'm hoping for no major shocks this week and a strong pound, as I have to pay for my greek house on friday.

If that is what the actual Greeks think. Why are the EU still chucking cash at them?

I have been to Greece several times over the last 30 years. It is quite common to see greeks pull out a wad of notes with maybe several 1000 Euros in it to pay for, say a few litres of petrol. The cash economy and trying to avoid tax is a way of life there and has been for years.

I would guess that if all Greeks paid what tax they were supposed to pay their problems would be over in a few years. It is a sensitive matter though. Germans trying to force Greeks to pay tax?
