How long ago did you make your report?

What evidence did you give? Indeed, what evidence do you have?

Investigations can take some time so it could just be that your ex is being investigated but they are still gathering the evidence. They will not tell you what/if they are carrying out an investigation so it is just a case of waiting.

If he is careful, and keeps it cash-in-hand - there may have been little evidence, especially if the parents are covering it up.

You can of course do more than just report it.
You could choose to gather evidence, and then copy this to the DWP and CSA.
Do you have any acquaintances that need any plastering done that could approach him?

Of course, this raises the other thorny issue.
Even if his JSA is stopped, or reduced because he's been working on the side, or he is convicted of benefit fraud - does this really do anything positive for you?

    In addition.
Take care about what you 'know', and what you merely suspect.
What do you have absolute concrete evidence about.

I was recently reported for benefit fraud on the basis that I was making and selling things on ebay.
While this is an aspiration, and I may not have been clear to everyone I've spoken to about how unlikey this is to happen in the near term, it has not yet happened, so the investigation came to nothing.

The person that reported me will almost certainly be of the view that 'the DWP don't investigate these things'.
