Assets in 'dog funds' jump 187% to £26.5bn

"There has been a 187% increase in the amount of money sitting in underperforming dog funds this year to £26.5bn, Bestinvest's latest "Spot the dog" list has revealed."

Of course, no-one here would pick neither a dog fund nor one that was about to become a dog.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.

    Yes, it an ambiguous headline!

Of course. people do bail out of dog funds so AUM will tend to drop, but the chances are that the poor investor will just end up in yet another howler.

Obviously no financial adviser would happily recommend one and then walk away with the commission either.

Of course not. Under those circumstances both the fund manager and the adviser would return all fees as a gesture of goodwill.
