food shopping here in the UK or holland?

Hi there,
I'm new to this!
I wondered if anyone had any advice on food shopping in Holland.
We are driving over there for our holidays and i wonder with the euro being as good as it is if i should stock the car up with food from aldi here or wait until we get to an aldi there?
I've checked and there are aldi's everywhere!
If anyone has any idea or been recently i'd be grateful for your advice!
Thank you

I'd say wait till Holland,as why go on holiday and eat the same food you do here! I go to Holland few times a year and always buy there, obv' if you want things like baked beans & bacon buy here and take with you other wise wait. They have aldi & Lidl, but c1000 or jumbo are better and bigger range.

I live in Holland so if you let me know where exactly you are going I can maybe give you more specific tips on what is available in that particular area with regard to shops etc.

If you like your tea you might want to take Tea bags from home as the Dutch tea is very weak.

In the past I have found that Aldi and Lidl were cheaper in the UK than Holland, but I think that was just to do with the strong Euro. In the last couple of months the Euro has weakend so you might not see too much of a difference.

Anyway, feel free to ask me anything you need to know about shopping here ........or The Netherlands in general.
