Another one to try is Porta 21 Feline Finest Sensible - Grain Free, it's cheaper than the other foods mentioned, so maybe not as good but my cats are happy with it.

    Thanks for they replies.

I was speaking to a friend who is a cat breeder and they recommended Purely.

We got some dry and wet ready for the kittens and got our older cat some dry and wet. She loves it, eats it all whereas Whiskas / Felixstowe she would just eat the jelly.

Purely dry used to be high meat but was reformulated a year or so ago to be much lower meat. The wet is still decent AFAIK.

Mine all eat Science Plan and turn their noses up at wet food. I find it economical as you rarely waste any. With wet food, especially when the weather is hot I used to throw a lot out. Flies land on it and so on.

I've been buying a 15k bag for around £60 and it lasts me about 3 months I think, for three cats. When you think that's only £20 a month for three cat's food, seems cheap to me.

Having said that I am going to try this Applaws as some of you seem to think it's even better!

Remember, cats mainly get their liquid from what they eat. If you only give dry food always provide plenty of fresh clean water.
Unfortunately this removes one of the main signs of diabetes, which is when they drink more water than normal.
