ESA has been cancelled after moving from support to work related group

Hi,
I wondered if any of you could help. I've been on IB in the past and was moved over to ESA (CB) support group in December 2010 (as part of the trial). I had another ATOS medical in June and have heard nothing back until today.
This morning I got a letter dated 18th July telling me that my ESA had stopped from 17th July as I had gone over the 365 day rule for contributions-based ESA - I rang the DWP up and have been told that I have been moved over to the work related group on the 16th July(first I've heard) and because of that the ESA has been ended!
I thought that days in the support group didn't count?
Luckily my husband runs his own business so we have something to live on (despite it being dead quiet at the moment), but if I was relying on the ESA I'd be stuffed.
Is this correct about the 365 day thing and moving from support to WRAG?
I've requested an appeal form and the report.

Thanks

Days in the support group do not count.
You are completely sure you were in the support group?

If you have been put in the work-related group, that's a seperate matter, that you want to appeal seperately.
But they cannot simply not pay because you were in the support group - the clock does not run.
  • Hi,
I've checked the paperwork from last year and I definitely was put in the support group until this medical was done - the guy I spoke to didn't sound like he was too sure what the rules were...

You need to ask for a callback from someone who does know the answer.

    I don't know the answer.

As you were on IB I guess you never worked in tax year 09/10?
