Quick Paypal Query

Hey everyone,

I just have a quick query about paypal and was wondering whether any of you would have the answer!

Basically i'd like to know whether or not it is possible to block payments into a particular paypal account? The issue i have is that if someone sends a payment, even if i close the account the money will still leave their account..

Is there any way i can just get my paypal account to outright block the payment so the sender of the funds gets a message saying their payment has been rejected?

Please dont worry about the ins and outs of why im asking, its the simple question im interested in! thanks all you guys for reading and posting!

Stu:)

I think the answer is no - you can only refund.

Or change the address linked to your pp account... but that sounds like a lot of aggro...

    hey pennylane,

£750 was just an example but yes i did speak to them and they said that theres no way of blocking payments but i just cant see how any payment sent from any account will ALWAYS go out?

There must be a way of rejecting payments automatically, maybe through changing some settings, personal details?, and i expected paypal to tell me you cant reject payments..its in their interest after all to take the payments....and the fees!!

If you do not have a bank account attached to your paypal account you have to manually accept each payment - can you take your bank account off?

you can make a paypal account with no bank account but the payments still go through, although they become unclaimed the money still leaves the customers bank account..

i need some way in which to reject payments outright...

thanks anyway for your help, its really appreciated!!:)
