Seller wont collect item from Post Office

Hi All

Further to my other recent post, I returned an item after raising a dispute and sent the item back via Parcelforce after eBay provided me with a pre-paid sticker.

Looking at the tracking, the item is now sat at the Post Office after Parcelforce attempted delivery. It is now at the post office awaiting collection and has been since the 18th.

I know the seller does not want to refund me. What happens if she does not collect the item? I have put a return addess on it, but I dont want to get the item back to have to keep sending it until she accepts delivery, and I would quite like my refund.

Does anyone know what happens next if she doesnt collect? Will eBay still refund me?

This shouldn't make any difference as to whether or not you get your refund.

Provided that you can show delivery or attempted delivery, ebay should process the refund.
Return postage will be at the buyer's expense. The seller must accept the returned item. Once we have confirmed that either the item has been returned to the seller or the item has been sent to the seller but the seller has not accepted the delivery, eBay will arrange for the purchase price plus original postage costs to be refunded to the buyer through PayPal.

If you get the refund and the goods returning to you, simply contact your seller and ask them to send you the money to enable you to post their goods back to them, and make sure that you get this money before sending the item.
