That sounds more like cosmetic damage rather functional damage. Therefore for that reason I am appealing against the point you awarded :)

I have found the John Lewis freezers and they do appeal after reading the above discussion as there is a three year warranty. They are more than my budget, but I have a fridge freezer in the kitchen so can manage with that while I save up enough.

I had a sucession of Beko washing machines, after the initial one they were all free replacements for one that stopped working under warranty. All broke within a year. In the end I gave up and purchased a Bosch. I got two and a half years from that before it died. It is very frustrating especially as I am a lighter user of my washing machines. I often feel quality of appliances is poorer now. My parents had a washing machine for 22 years from the early eighties. Now their machines seem as problematic as mine.

On appeal the point stands, cosmetics matter with a house fridge.

    Plus it's now 3 - 1 after prudents last post:D

On a serious note Beko and White night are the only 2 manfs of white appliances that I would say avoid.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I've only had Beko fridges & freezers and TBH never had a problem with them. As well as the freezer in the garage, I also have one of their fridges. Although their fridges aren't rated to -15C it has never given a bit of trouble and that was bought at the same time as the original freezer.

So my experience is 2 Beko appliances each still going strong after 9 years (well the freezer would have if it hadn't been bounced)

I think it is like any other make. You get some batches/models that all turn out to be lemons and others that don't have a problem.

Our old Bosch fridge-freezer is in the garage. When we moved to this house, it had separate under-counter spaces for a fridge and freezer so we had to buy those and put the fridge-freezer in the garage. Two years later, it's still working fine. No problem at all even during that ridiculously cold spell earlier this year. Ours is an integral garage though so it never gets much lower than freezing in there (in terms of the air temperature).

As an aside, I can wholly recommend Appliances Online. Had two appliances from them now and they deliver fast and took all the packaging away both times. Once I used their 'remove my old appliance' service and this was also hassle free. They're normally cheaper than everyone else by a mile too. If I remember rightly they're on Quidco so don't forget that to make it even cheaper. :)

    I think you're right.W

We have 2 Renault cars, they've been perfect, but ask on here what folks think about them , and (get your flak jacket ready):rotfl:

Thing is it doesn't matter what topic, folks only post about the stuff they've had trouble with, ;)
