PayPal, was direct from card now direct debit

Hi guys it been a while since I've posted.
I've been with eBay and PayPal for past 6 years or so, always paid for items via my debit card, finished the auction and paid straight away through PayPal. The funds have come straight off my card.... Simples.


Now recently after paying latest listing fee after selling something paypal said I needed to verify my account before I could buy anything else, ok fair enough they deposited two small amounts I waited a few days and completed verification, I can now buy again!!
But, I've noticed now the payments I am making aren't leaving my card straight away, it's coming out my bank 3-4 days later via direct debit any one know why of this change?

I prefered it coming straight off my card as when I check my bank balance I see what's there and know what I've got instead now I've got to sit there and work out if PayPal have took their money out yet etc.

I want to go back to it coming straight off my card so I don't have anything else to worry about,

Can I do this or am I stuck with this rubbish time delay of DD now?

Direct debit because you set it up will be your default setting. You can change this if you wish.

Do I change it on eBay or PayPal?

When you get to the payment screen on Ebay, before confirming payment, it will have a box showing the payment method ie transfer from bank acc.

If it defaults to your bank account, you should have the option to change it - this might be a little highlighted phrase underneath (can't quite remember but there is something). You can then tick your preferred card.
