I think natural yoghurt is meant to be good?Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:0

Plain yoghourt will definitely help cool you down. You could also add a few drops of lemon juice and olive oil to yoghourt.
If you have any aloe vera gel or an aloe vera plant, use that. (Doubt if you will have the latter in the UK, but I grow it in Cyprus, and it is excellent for burned skin).0 -
Witch Hazel is very good if you don't mind the smell - I love it! Hope you feel better soon.0

I used a plain unscented baby moisturiser when i got sunburnt, and it seemed to help.
(I seem to remember my mum having an aloe vera houseplant, Anne Marie, so yes I think they are available/growable here in the UK too.)0 -

I just leave them to do their own thing outside now, and they seem to like me leaving them alone. :rotfl:
Same here :rotfl: I had a prayer-plant die on me, and a Christmas cactus. The only ones I haven't managed to bump off are money-tree plants and my mother-in-law's-tongue plant, which is proving to be indestructableI bought it years ago and it's had loads of babies over the years. Think I've got about 6 of them now, but those six are sprouting new ones, too
I often think I would love to have a bonsai tree, but no chance.. Maybe I should just stick with plants that don't mind if you forget to water them.:o0 -
Bicarb, mixed to a paste with a drop of water will take the burn out of the skin. Bit messy but worth it if it helps. Also lavender oil is good for burns too as long as you have no broken skin.0

LOL my aloe vera in the bathroom grew so big that when you bent down to pick up your towel, you were getting poked in the B-hind. They grow very well in bathrooms and I use it for all kinds of burns and bruises.0 -
If its really sore, lie on bed for an hour with sliced tomatoes on the burn, very messy but it takes the burn feeling away.Well Behaved women seldom make history

E45 cream if you have it can be used. Oh and stay hydrated - drink lots of water. As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0
