Mira electric shower produces water too hot/cold

Hi All,
I have a 7.5 Kw Mira Sport electric shower and the water is often too hot or too cold. Adjusting the temperature dial seems to have very little effect on the water temperature.
Has anyone had a similar issue?
I imagine that it has something to do with either the water flow or the heating element.
I will follow the trouble shooting steps in http://www.e-tradecounter.co.uk/PDF/p-1711.pdf, but I thought I would ask first to see if this is a common issue with Mira showers.

Its a common problem with any electric shower if theres a blockage in the feed pipe. Check that first.

Thanks, the issue was severe limescale buildup in the hose & shower head. I should remember to clear this out every year.
