can't open dispute in PayPal?

It's been a long time since I had to open a dispute in PayPal and I remember it working ok before, but I can't seem to get it to work this time...

I'm told you should open a dispute in PayPal rather than eBay but it can't seem to make it happen...

Basically I follow the steps as detailed here:

which tell me to enter the transaction I.D. and click "continue" but there is no continue...

PayPal only gives me this page, I only get an option to open a dispute in eBay or return to the resolution centre or open a dispute(!)



what am I doing wrong? :huh:

P.S. forgot to mention... I never received the item (paid 18th June)

On that screen shot at the bottom it has a link that says you can also - open a paypal dispute.

Does that link send you round the houses again?

Wonder how many times the OP has looked at that screen and not seen it?

Have we all done that? Staring at something and its not there. Go away and come back or someone points to it.

I had someone ask my why they had no sound on their computer. I said check this and that etc etc. Red X on the speaker icon. No they said.

They emailed me a screen shot and a big red X on the speaker icon.
click that and select unmute...

I always asked what they can see after that and not give them a choice of answers.

unfortunately it does, it takes me straight back to the PayPal dispute page again i.e. back to where I started!

Round and round and round in circles...

never mind though the seller refunded me anyway. Very odd PayPal behaviour though
