car buying scam

Several quick set up sites are a scam, started with gbautobuyer.com, now uk-carbuyer.com, they are trying to get people that are selling their car to arrange an appointment and pay £50 by western union or ukash.
They typically contact people from the auto trader.
They don't answer the phone and they have no proper address.
Beware if you have a car for sale.
There are some genuine sites, i.e. webuyanycar, ukcarbuyer, but these won't ask you for money!!!

Just another variety of a cash advance scam. If you are expecting to get some money for something why on earth would you give them money upfront?
I guess with one idiot born every minute there are a lot of them about!Thinking critically since 1996....0
