Have been toying with the idea of getting another car, mainly because i ride a motorcycle to work and cant face another winter on it.
Insurance quotes are seriously putting me off though, have my wife as main driver on current car with me named, but as all the no claims bonus is on that policy, the quotes am getting for a new motor with me as main driver and her named are treble what we pay now.....anyone know of a way to reduce this?

See if the current insurer will do a deal for adding it on the policy.
See if the current insurer will give you any discount to take out a new policy with them as a result of havong been a named driver with them.
See if multicar policies work out any cheaper.
Contact a local broker (not swinton) and see if you can get an introductory discount to reflect your claim free driving experience as a named driver.0 -

Privilege gave my wife (named driver) full NCD when we got another car and insured it in her name. Plus second car discount, plus introductory offer.
Her premium was cheaper than mine. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
