Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 22nd July. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, soplease don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning all,
Lovely day here, its so nice to see the sun for a change :T got our bedding in the wm and will do dd's after, they should both dry well today.
We got a new to us dw yesterday, its only been used twice and is like new it works so well too, can now see how bad the old one had got, the old one has been given a good send off at the dump
Dinner today will be nabs
had it yesterday and there is so much left that is will do us another day.
Must go and see dad at lunch time he has been poorly with D + V after the home gave him prawns on Friday, poor thing cant keep anything down, will take him some nice squash to see if that stays.
Ok better get on, have good days all xx
Oh Julie, I meant to say, I would only agree to go back if your concerns were looked at, I think I would be inclined to try it for a week and see how it went xx

Hi Guys!
Hope you're all okay.
I've been in a London Hospital for the past few weeks and was only released late last week. My health had deteriorated so much and although I don't feel much better really, I have gained some weight which is good. I had a PICC line in to gain access to my heart for treatment. They have realised how ill I actually am but theres not a lot they can do about it, so I think I have to reside myself that this is it and I need to adjust and accept it.
Anyway, I thought I would let you know as I've had some PM's asking if I'm okay.
Im so grateful to have a lovely husband and DD. Thanks for all the messages.

Hope you are ok penny pincher.
Terrible nights sleep last -too hot- just couldn't settle so am tired this morning. Will get washing in soon -must get on with it all while the sun shines. Have had to rewash a few things as they must have been put away damp and smelled awful.
Still on the hunt for a new freezer so am shopping more often and the fridge is overflowing as it's being used for things normally frozen. Must get one ordered this week.
have a good day all - enjoy the sun:)Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Had a nice evening in with the pup last night, he's such a funny character, kept bring me socks (NO IDEA where he is getting them from either!!)
Just waiting for the water to heat and I'll have a bath, sort my hair out and then head out with puppy.
Last load of the weekend is in the WM - not sure how i managed to have so much, but at least i'll have a fairly low maintenance week ahead of me.
Going to my parent's house to sort out some stuff, as they are doing the final clearance before the sale goes though! Must empty my car before i go.
Anyway, enough of my ramblings.
Catcha all later

Morning all
PP - hope you're ok
I had a lovely day yesterday at the festival. First had lunch at my friends (HM soup) and then we drove up, found somewhere free to park, then walked to the festival site. It was gloriously sunny all day
The first few hours of acts were X Factor/Voice [STRIKE]rejects[/STRIKE] contestants! We found a nice sunny area and just plonked ourselves down and listened to the music in the sunshine and gossiped. It was lovely. Then the lovely Olly Murs came on at 8pm. He was AMAZING
! I've seen him before but then he only did half hour, this time it was 90mins. He was so entertaining, talked to the crowd, was funny, and did all his hits plus a few covers. Late night, as we didn't get back til midnight, but a fab day!
No plans for today really. I'm meant to be meeting a friend for coffee but not to sure if he has remembered :rotfl: not bothered if we don't meet today though. The sun is shiningso I shall just sunbathe on the patio with my Kindle otherwise.
OS wise - towels just finished in the WM and will go out on line as soon as I'm dressed, am hunting round for things to go in the WM as it's such a nice day :rotfl:. Food wise, need to go shopping but trying to hold out a few more days yet! Dinner will be HM freezer meal
Have a fab day all, don't forget the sunscreen!

Morning everyone,
Penpin many hugs for you.
RR Hope that your dad feels better soon.
Julie Be careful with your decision, make sure that there really will be change if you go back.
I spent yesterday helping out at the girl's dance show (front of house, refreshments, small child control!) Today I am going to watch the show and real looking forward to it.
Tomorrow the girls and I are of on the train to North Wales to join OH and DS who went there yesterday. We are staying with family friends and I am really looking forward to it.
When we get back we are off on a cheap last minute to Ibiza for a week. So hopefully next time I chat to you all I will be well and truly relaxed.
Have a lovely day everyone:)0 -
