Any experience of bagging last minute caravan holidays?

Does anyone know if last minute caravan holidays are as negotiable as foreign hols? Have booked a week off in August but looking at caravan hol websites we're still looking at £550 for a week. I know it's high season and all but it's still out of our budget really.
Just wondered if anyone had had any success waiting til the last minute then ringing round to haggle.
Hoping to go to Wales.
Thank you

They can only say no. You may have more luck with private sellers on Ebay or loot etc . I would rather take £200 for a week in august than have a empty caravan . hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

I am a holiday home owner in North Wales and have been full for the summer holidays since early in the year. If i had more than 2 weeks left i would seriously consider a reduction in price to shift the blanks weeks. I can help you find a place in North Wales for this summer at reduced prices from £350 to £450. But not on a public forum , if you are interested PM me with dates , people and pets etc . I am not gaining in any way from this .. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -

At the weekend I booked a caravan to Henger Manor in Cornwall for 7 days from August 25th for 7 of us, it cost £404. They have now sold out but were doing 4 days for £300. That was with Hoeseaons.Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0
