employment verification for mortgage when made redundant

Hi hubby has been made redundant and has about 8months before he leaves his job. We plan to buy a house before that, and feel we won't get a mortgage if we mention he is made redundant. Will they check with employers? anyone got a mortgage while being redundant? pls help thanks

So do you plan to lie on a mortgage application about your employment status if the relevent questions ask for information that would reveal the employment would terminate..

Has he been givien notice of termination?

More important you would consider a mortgage commitment when knowing your income will stop, how will you pay the mortgage?

Look up repossession.... you'll be needing the info in times to come!
