Cancel pending application

The other day I applied for a Capital One credit card. After some problems with my browser I had to fill in the form twice.

In the post a few days ago I received my credit agreement which I signed and returned.

Today I received the same letter with a difference reference and a new credit agreement.

Presumably my online form went through twice. While clearly I will not return the credit agreement from this second letter (I only want one credit card!) do I need to take action to cancel the second pending application? Might it affect my credit score or anything?

Regards.

I would give them a quick call - computer was being a nightmare, applied for two, don't obviously need the second, yada... Yada... - job done.

Yes you'll have two foot prints on your credit file, but really its not gonna cause you too much hardship.
