RBS, Halifax, NatWest, Lloyds... Multiple cards?

Hi,

I am thinking of applying for the 18month 0% spending credit card available from RBS/NatWest. Ideally I want a credit limit of at least £3k. I already have a 3k credit card with Halifax. To add to the mix, I bank with Lloyds, who regularly send me letters offering me guaranteed credit limits on cards and loans.

As they are all the same company now, will applying to have a new credit card from NatWest get rejected as I already have a Halifax card?

RBS are nothing to do with lloyds.

Lloyds and Halifax are the same banking group - you can if your crdit score is good have credit cards from both.

My Bad!

My confusion was the difference between Royal Bank of Scotland (as in RBS) and Bank of Scotland (as in HBOS).

So they are different card providers and I am at the mercy of my credit score...

Well they are both largely taxpayer owned, so have the same owners.
