Hi guys
Can anyone tell me why my shiny new laptop won't download itunes?
I keep getting a message saying:
Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services
Any ideas on what I can/should do?

That sounds like you already have something on the laptop.
Have you downloaded it before? is it already installed? Are you trying to update it through their stupid little box? Do you have the right version? Are you trying to connect a device to it?
Go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and download from there, what do you get?
If you need the 64bit version, scroll right down, and you will find the download link to that in the blurb on the left hand side.
Does this install ok?0 -

some of us would say your new laptop is showing extremely good taste and common sense in not allowing itunes onto it
:rotfl: ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

lol, I like the Google suggestions for completing the sentance when you type in "why is iTunes", they show the general feeling towards iTunes (hint: people don't like it).some of us would say your new laptop is showing extremely good taste and common sense in not allowing itunes onto it
