Virgin/MBNA credit card PPi refusal

Hi all,

Been trying to claim the PPi back on my parents Virgin Credit Card.

Today they got a refusal letter stating that the application was carried out online, and the box for PPi was ticked, reading several other posts, i would assume that the box would come pre- ticked during application.

Could anyone advise me on my next step, do i escalate to FOS, if so do i fill out another form and enclose refusal letter, or should i go further into this with Virgin/MBNA.

Many thanks.

  • Hi

I'm exactly the same with Virgin. If I remember correctly no information came up re the PPI on the screen and I am sure you had to take the PPI out in order to have a credit card from Virgin.

I'm not sure what to do either - do I battle Virgin myself or get an agency to do (Now that they have refused)?

    Any help would be great

An agency will get no further than you.

There was not ever any requirement to take PPI in order to get the Virgin CC.
I have had several Virgin/MBNA cards over the last 10 years or so never had PPI. The option may have been pre ticked some years back if it was I unticked it.
