I wonder if someone can help me please?
I have a couple of films in my itunes account that are digital downloads. I would like to copy them onto a micro SD card so that I can watch them on my HTC Desire S (android)
How do I go about doing this? I have tried to copy them straight onto the SD card, and it just says something like can't play this movie. Do I have to save it to a certain place, or copy it direct to the phone from my pc using a cable? I just don't know how to do this
nor do I know what to google really
Thanks for any help

If they were downloaded from the iTunes store (including a bluray/DVDs free digital copy) they will be protected with Apples Fairplay DRM meaning they won't be able to be played on anything other than Apple devices, that will be why you are getting the 'can't play this movie' message.0 -
The DVDs were bought from Amazon, and Tesco etc. I bought the Triple Play versions, with a DVD, BluRay and Digital Download. Is the Digital DOwnload an Apple product then? Why would it be only playable on Apple devices?“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0

yep it's essentially the exact same as buying it through iTunes just for free therefore comes with all the same restrictions, all movies (and tv shows) downloaded through iTunes are DRM'd, this is an encryption that prevents playback on unauthorized devices this is to stop you sharing that file with the internet, the only problem is the encryption iTunes uses can only be decoded on apple products and therefore restricts the ordinary law abiding person who just wants to watch the file on a different phone.
but I would point out that of the 2 ways you can download your digital copy iTunes is the better one to choose as you have at least some flexibility watching the file on a different computer or on a phone, compared to the WMP digital download.
give this article a read it tells you more about this and perhaps offers a solution http://blogs.computerworld.com/digital_copy_a_feature_thats_no_feature
