    Dear friends,

How quickly life can change. I've been planning to come on here all day and tell you how pleased I was with mine and DH's petrol savings this week, and respond to Locarr's kind enquiry about our village celebrations and post some pictures. Life's been ok for the last couple of days and I was feeling happy and optimistic.

And then I just logged on to teletext to catch up with the news, and in the local news was a story about a young man who'd died in a motorcycle accident on Monday, and the name was familiar. And then I realised that 2 days before he died, last Saturday, I'd married him and his lovely bride at a local venue, and that he was a particularly nice young man, who'd thanked both me and my colleague by name, and I'd got all the guests to stand up at the end of the ceremony and congratulate the new Mr and Mrs X. And now I'm sitting here crying at the sheer futility of it all. What a terrible waste.

I read about this in the Daily Mail today. What a tragic thing to happen.....his poor bride.
My husband is a motorbike enthusiast and our 15 year old son often rides pillion.
I worry whenever they go any long distance, especially if it's on motorways or really busy roads.
I know my husband is not one to take any risks, but he says the number of times cars pull straight out on him because they don't check their mirrors for bikes is frightening.
Very sad about the poor cyclist killed by the Olympic bus last night too :(
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

    HAPPY CAN YOU HELP?
i saw previous posts about printing in greyscale rather than in colour but I have inherited my husbands Mac and it doesn't seem to work the same.
I am totally useless about all things technical so can you talk me through it really basically?
Would be so grateful as would save a fortune in ink.
    Thanks so much

    Hiya:wave:

Setting vary from printer to printer to be honest as it's these you actually need to change. Also, the more capabilities the printer has, the more settings/options there will be. The more basic the printer the less options functions.

But basically when you bring up this box when you go to print something is generally where you will find the settings.

For my printer I have to select 'Preview' and then 'Print Settings' and go from there.

Thought I'd share a couple of pics of a bit of my garden. Worked really hard planting up borders, tubs and baskets, and so glad I did. It was worth all the effort.

You could get the OP to install Teamviewer via PM and control their PC for them to adjust the settings. This is how I offer remote support.
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.
