    Morning all :)
  • 24 pages to catch up on....and 20 past 2. Me thinks thats another lot thats getting skipped. This thread is now becomining unwieldy. :( Victim of its own success.
  • Popped out tonight to get some whoopsies........

This lot were all 2p per item............

I also found the evening teabags, although the pyramid bags that were being reported cheap were all £1.18 in my stores.

I was hungry when I got in and although it was late to eat, I decided on some of the lamb rump I'd got tonight. I trimmed off all the fat so it was nice and lean and then popped it in the oven for half an hour with a sprig of rosemary, some ground black pepper and a drizzle of honey......

The end result looked good and tasted well nice! I think I've finally discovered how to cook lamb! :)

Honestly, thats really soooonot true! I spent years not being able to do beans on toast without spoiling it.

The difference now is I enjoy my food and actualy quite enjoy cooking. There is also the added advantage of whoopsies.....it means I can try things that before I wouldn't dream of eating. I mean look at those rump steaks tonight. Proper price almost £15  I simply couldnt afford that.

Same goes for ther 30p fillet steaks I get. It means I can experiment cooking them and not worrying if they don't turn out great! I had a few disasters with steaks to begin with, but have since learned.

My lamb usually turns out hopeless but this was nice and juicy still but wasn't pink inside at all. It cut easily and was a joy to eat.

I threw 3 mushies in the pyrex dish with the lamb and chopped a bit of salad. Its really not that hard at all...............if an idiot like me can do it, anyone can! :D
