£20 for 72 washes??!!!!!!!!!! I'd never pay that. I'll take my washing down to the river and clean it by dipping it in and pounding it on the rocks before paying that price.

My dad got a free bar of carbolic soap from work every week (Steelworker) my nan used to grate that and use it in her single tub washing machine :D

I refuse to pay more than about 10p a wash. I stock up when it's on offer. Who does Mr T think he is? That's almost three times the amount I am willing to pay. Such a rip off and, no doubt, lots of unsuspecting people will fall for this "promotion."

    Hear hear :T

I ALWAYS buy mine on promotion. And use moc's on it. I don't have to buy any for months now.

But yes. People are stupid enough to think that is a good deal

Morries often have their own laundry liquid on offer at half price. I think the last time it was about £1.60 for 28 washes.
They do the three varieties too (Bio, non bio and colour) and it's good stuff.
I usually buy enough to last me a few months.
For loo rolls I always make a special trip to Farmfoods and buy 13 packs at a time for £26 (so I can use a £2.50 off voucher)
    It's called Nicky and it's 9 rolls £2.50 or 2 for £4.
Really good loo roll, I think it's on a par with the expensive stuff
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

My DD is going to be a great MSE'r when she is older. We went to see the Olympic torch today at a celebration in our local park. (was fab!)

DD went off with OH whilst I kept our places and came back with a bag of free cereal bars from nature Valley and free cokes for us all. She was so chuffed with herself. "Look mummy - and it was all free!"
They are actually quite nice too especially the oat and chocolate one.
When I grow old, I dont want people thinking "what a sweet old lady" I want them to think
"oh carp what is she up to now!"

To be honest, I don't think it's people being stupid, they are just naive and when they see words like "promotion" and BOGOF, they assume that is a special offer and must be worthwhile. I used to be like that until I joined this site.

Mostly I agree with you. But where I live, people can really be that stupid

Talking about laundry products, does anyone here use the bottles of washing liquid?
I normally use liquitabs but my stock has run out since the last price flop that was used with the tesco laundry products.
Was looking on T's last night and noticed the liquid bottles were working out around 5p a wash...so just wondered if it is any good?
