Afternoon all. Busy day today. Successfully played garage tetris to make room for proposed shop. I gathered up my lists and coupons, got in the car, the phone rang. DS2's car ready to collect:mad:. Woke sprog up and took him to get the car, paid the bill:eek: and followed him home as I'd left my purse behind. When we got home he told me my brake lights weren't working. Tweaked a few wires, checked fuses and bulbs........zilch.:mad: Had to take his car shopping.
I did quite well. Lagers and shandy in Sains, in one shop, with no problems using all vouchers together. THANKS to greenfinger for generously donating some vouchers,:T:T. Venus razors £7.49 in S, £3.74 in T, Haagen Dasz Secret Sensations, Kleenex facial wipes, Bon Maman biscuits, Triple Velvet loo roll, Febreze, Ariel powder, Bold gel, all with coupons, and all compared for BM's, which I also used. After all discounts, coupons etc, I paid £29 for £92 worth of shopping, split over 3 shops, so really pleased. The sa, who was lovely, said she had never seen so many coupons, or handed out 3 BM's in a row.
Then I went to T's. It started well. I found the 1p cake mixes, some whoopsie veg, cakes and flowers. I nipped through self service and was going to pay with a smallish jtd. Sa comes over, 'sorry we can't take that on these tills':eek:. I asked why, cos I've used them before. 'We've had problems' she said. She got on her headphone/microphone thingy to ask, then disappeared off to cs. I thought damn, she's going to make me go through a 'normal' till and they'll take the cake mixes away, so I hurried up and paid. The till receipt shot out of the slot as she arrived back. 'Oh, I was going to take you to a manned till to use the voucher' she said. I told her I'd got other shopping to do once I'd put that lot in the car, so I'd use the voucher on that, and made a hasty getaway!
I dumped the shopping in the car, went back and bought the mayo, Sanex, (NO coffee on the shelf again, don't get me started on T's stock levels when there is a promotion on :mad:) and some value bits to get a jtd and a petrol coupon. At the till...................no petrol coupon. Sent to cs where after a lengthy wait I was presented with a handwritten coupon:eek::eek::eek::eek:. Needless to say I was not a happy bear, and was assured that they had given out 'several' handwritten coupons as some of the items were not generating them, and that the petrol station staff were aware and were taking them. I told the cs chap that if the petrol station refused it I would be back.
It's the last day for the wine promo today, so I'm off for another visit to stock up on the Garland red and white, and to see if the vast trolley of reduced strawberries they had earlier have been reduced further. (Once DH gets back with the 2 new brake light bulbs I need for the car).
Hope you've all had a good day. Hugs to those in need.Sealed Pot Challenge No 9 516 target £250

Good find!
Is it £1 or £1.49 in Asda - has anyone tried it yet?
If so you could do OJ and anchor cream :0
You definitely don't want to do OJ and Anchor cream together!
OJ = £1.48 A's vs 3p T's
Anchor cream = 50p A's vs £1.25 T's :eek:'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0 -
Just been to collect my new Ipad at T's , had a quick look and found the large packs of Walkers Sensation £1.99 reduced to 20p.
Got 20 packs and they went thru bogofthen got till spit for 6 free cans of baraviar shandy :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Went back in and got another 20
New mag was there . Vouchers not much good. 30p off Anchor pouring cream , 40p off happy eggs, £1 off Zico Coconut or Mango water . Tesco giftcard comp.:(
I love my ipad to bits - yes its an ipad2 and not a3 and no wi-fi but even so it now goes everywhere with me. The fb ap is not good on it so quite often at night I have the laptop with Fb and the ipad with twitter and I am doing both at the same time :0)“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Ta for this, not written a shopping list all day and already I have lost the knack....
How many porks are people buying - I only buy 2 at a time but I've seen 3 on some peoples list - I suppose it depends on how small the packs you can get?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
