MissBailey wrote: »Hello all,
I don't tend to venture on here any more since the demise of DTD (sob) but I had a problem at Mr T's on the weekend and thought one of you may be able to advise me?
I suspect I don't have much of a leg to stand on as it is impossible to prove a negative but on Saturday I bought a pair of PJ bottoms with my weekly shop and they were scanned twice. I didn't check my receipt until I got home (my mistake) but I don't know whether it's worth ringing Tesco CS to ask if there's anything they can do. Has anyone had a similar experience?
Many thanks in advance
I would definately go back, with the pj's in a bag and your receipt. Explain you didn't notice until you got home. I have found T and S quite understanding with things like that, I think they probably think you wouldn't have gone to all the effort to go back into the store if you hadn't had been genuinely overcharged x0 -
Angelsmadv - thank you for your very elegant explanation. Very clear thinking.
6 of the Robinsons will be heading home with me.
So all people have to do is think about the capacity - in litres - of their tanks, and use that to calculate whether it is worth their while.
Then not fill up until they are as close to empty as they dare, and have as many of the 'up to 5' vouchers as they think are worth getting. [and take the spare fuel can with them.....]
Hi
I know we are all adults but please careful if you do buy extra petrol and you store it in a can xxToni`s Mummy0 -

As of when? They were £2 in my Mr T and £1.25 in Asda no? Oops. I guess go for something different then.I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Shandy is fir girls
Go to Mr A. Get up to 10 OJ and 7 random cheap value items. In shop two get 10 Mullers from the list earlier in the thread plus 7 random cheap value items (I know this is not necessary as each flavour counts but I do this to be safe!). Job done.
Go to Mr T. Do not get coffee yet as this is best when the £5 off £40 comes in on the 26th. Buy 6 x Robbinsons = £21 + 30p off Petrol.
1 x Peperoni Dr Otker Pizza = £1 (use £1 pizza voucher).
6 x different cheap value items for less than £1.
Wait until tomorrow for the Mayo.
Womble lots. Go home, eat chocolate, but peer away, have coffee, run back outside and take keys from outside of the door.! :A:o
Perfect - do you know me?:D:D:D:D0 -
For those looking for extra items to boost a JTD shop, the 'fresh and naked' tomatoes, bagged salad, tiny cucumbers are on bagof. [buy any get one free]
If you buy the toms or peppers @ £1.75 - you can use 2 x 50p coupons from the magazine on each purchase. This means its.75p for every 2 items. [Rather than a ludicrous £3.50 - does anyone really pay that?]
They come back as n/a on the price doodah.
But watch out - they have still not fixed the glitch on the vine tomatoes - the bagof does not come off - so avoid unless you don't mind a trip to customer services to claim money back / DTD.arghhh!!!0 -

Tenerife, just got back. How to do it cheaply......
Book flights as soon as they come out (Sir B was good enough to flag up summer 2012 flights on easyjet the day they were released last September). £75 each return. Car hire is cheap and you can get cashback - I find carrentals.co.uk are competitive but shop around.
Book accommodation shortly before you go to get the best rates - they are often less than half of what they start out at. We stayed at several places to take advantage of various free nights I'd accumulated (see below) or we could get free with our bank card loyalty scheme, but the rate I quoted above was just booked over the internet. A hotel site I use haven't twigged that you can use their loyalty scheme, which is an excellent one, AND get up to 12% casback, which means you can nett up to 22% off their prices. I won't put it on here (don't shoot a gift horse) but will gladly let you know which one if you're interested.
The rate I quoted was for the Santa Barbara Golf and Ocean Club for a 2 bedroom apartment, cost £44 a night (£35 nett of cashback and reward scheme) if you book not too far in advance (think they start out at about £89), and they are very good at meeting your room preferences if you email them. I asked them for an apartment with sea views and a dishwasher, and we were allocated one of their elite apartments looking out to sea and the marina. Apart from not having a washing machine, the kitchen was the best specced I've seen - it even had a picnic set and some plastic boxes, loads of serving dishes etc. The aircon was top notch and there was a massive flat screen tv and dvd player in the very comfortable lounge as well as a separate very large dining area with sea views. The 2 bathrooms were enormous and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We ordered food from the restaurant to our room and it was good and not expensive. The only thing I would say is the pool area's not as big as it should be, so if you want sunbeds you're best off getting there early. If pool lazing is your thing, the Sunningdale village nearby is gorgeous, so beautiful, we had a fantastic 2 bed villa there for £48 a night. [STRIKE]If[/STRIKE] When I go back I would do half and half at both of them.
The excellent Aberdeen steakhouse round the corner is where you get the dinners, and they do a lovely cooked breakfast for about £1.80 (they've knocked 25% off their already low prices). I'll try and post some pics but laptop is not working at the moment, thanks to a naughty little dog previously mentioned on these pages so I'm on my daughter's. (Don't ask).
Hope is not a strategy.0 -
OK, slightly (more than slightly) nervous here, but i've been stalking this thread. A lady I know (in person) is an avid member on this thread, and recommended I get in on it. Well, it was more of a, you MUST!!! get in on this elite! So far i've been looking and going  Find this all very hard to keep up with and am routinly reading up to 25 pages at a time. Takes me forever to figure out what/where the coupons are by the time which, they are usually expired. This week I got very *brave* and did the Muller APG
First time ever! :T Yeah, I have a looooong way to go before I am *elite* :rotfl: But I really want/need to try this. So can someone please explain the Beer glitch to me? :rotfl: So far ive read this thread and several pages of the old thread, Ive worked out you need to spend £20 to get the sainsburys price comparison, its the low alcohol Bavaria not the alcohol free. And there is a voucher somewhere but I cant find where??
Also I have no idea how to figure out the free Lenor, please help a total newbie
Glad to hear the Mullers are still working so farIve had about 50 so far, but with hubby eating up to 6 a day plus the kids 4 each that only lasted about 2 days
Hello and welcome. Glad you have taken the first step and joined us. hope you can follow and get lots of glitches
:eek: I've just listened to that - was that you? Twist in my sobriety? :TTiger

Thanks for asking - Mr P has got himself a 'lizard' tongue
he's sliced it on something but he's had painkillers & antibiotics & looks & smells better already
We managed to get him into carrying box but he escaped :eek: but my sister took over & got him back in - phew. It seems when he was at the Vets he was rolling around showing off his huge white belly to the Vet :rotfl:
Pleased Skinny cat is doing well ♥
:eek: I've just listened to that - was that you? Twist in my sobriety? :T
One of my cats did that a few years ago, took it to the vets and he said " nothing to worry about she will be fine". We were in there less than a minute and it cost us £17 :mad:0
