    Hello all,

I don't tend to venture on here any more since the demise of DTD (sob) but I had a problem at Mr T's on the weekend and thought one of you may be able to advise me?

I suspect I don't have much of a leg to stand on as it is impossible to prove a negative but on Saturday I bought a pair of PJ bottoms with my weekly shop and they were scanned twice. I didn't check my receipt until I got home (my mistake) but I don't know whether it's worth ringing Tesco CS to ask if there's anything they can do. Has anyone had a similar experience?

    Many thanks in advance :)

I want the coffee, OJ, beer, shandy, beans, petrol coupons, beer, shandy ...............you get the picture.:D

And anything else that I have forgotten:(:(:(:(

Go to Mr S. Get 7 packs of Beer from shelf. Use 7 coupons at the till and pay cash or use your existing BM voucher. Get another BM voucher and leave or get 7 more packs if available.

    Shandy is fir girls :p

Go to Mr A. Get up to 10 OJ and 7 random cheap value items. In shop two get 10 Mullers from the list earlier in the thread plus 7 random cheap value items (I know this is not necessary as each flavour counts but I do this to be safe!). Job done.

Go to Mr T. Do not get coffee yet as this is best when the £5 off £40 comes in on the 26th. Buy 6 x Robbinsons = £21 + 30p off Petrol.
    1 x Peperoni Dr Otker Pizza = £1 (use £1 pizza voucher).
6 x different cheap value items for less than £1.

Wait until tomorrow for the Mayo.

Womble lots. Go home, eat chocolate, but beer away, have coffee, run back outside and take keys from outside of the door.! :A:o
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Angelsmadv - thank you for your very elegant explanation. Very clear thinking.
6 of the Robinsons will be heading home with me.

So all people have to do is think about the capacity - in litres - of their tanks, and use that to calculate whether it is worth their while.
Then not fill up until they are as close to empty as they dare, and have as many of the 'up to 5' vouchers as they think are worth getting. [and take the spare fuel can with them.....]

Or is it worth just looking on ebay for them ....

Absolutely. Ring them. They will most likely send you a gift card. All about customer retention -we hope! :D

Firstly let me state this. I never take anything back to CS because I don't ever want my profile raising. I haven't done DTD instore since before DTD on price check started. I will hammer them when Price Promise finishes (which it will) again but for now I like to keep a low profile.

If each voucher saves you £4 use it as that in your Math.

If you are getting Robbinson's at 2 for £7 and getting £4 off, you are effectively getting 2 lots of Robbinson's for £3. A great deal. If it compares (which I will tell you in about 3 hours) then you get them for £7 - £3 JTD - £4 petrol = -£1 i.e. paid to take them.

    I would buy this shop:
    6 x Robbinsons = £21 + 30p off Petrol.
    1 x Peperoni Dr Otker Pizza = £1 (use £1 pizza voucher).
6 x different cheap value items for less than £1.

    Total spend £22 - JTD voucher back of £9.75 = £12.25
total in Fuel coupons = £12 i.e. pay 25p to take away all your shopping (and clubcard points).

A similar calculation with the Beans.

    4 x Heinz beans = £9 Mr T £6 Mr A. = £3 JTD.
    Buy 3 x 4 x HB = 48 tins for £27.
    1 x Peperoni Dr Otker Pizza = £1 (use £1 pizza voucher).
6 x different cheap value items for less than £1.

Total spend £29 - JTD voucher back of £9.75.
total in Fuel coupons = £12 i.e. pay £7.25 to take away all your shopping (and clubcard points).

Then repeat this with your JTD vouchers. Hope this helps you. :A

I think I already illustrated the coffee example. :A

    Dr oetker pizzas are £2.78 in T's , A's and S's. £1.25 in M's

I have a "friend" who works in a depot and got me a load of the 5p ones that the delivery driver gives out. If the 10p ones are the same, then I'll not be buying any more juice. For now, though, I shall see how it goes. :D
    Are they on eBay yet?

EdIt - Just seen. People are paying £2 per voucher! A scandal. Oh well, if mugs will pay it, I guess it's only fair game that Mr T employees make a few quid :D

Looks like a few may come my way "rubs hands" :D
