Virgin and 18185 Query?

I've been using the 18185 override service on Virgin cable phone for a long time now with no problem. However the 3 calls I've made this week have all ended in the same way. Call begins OK, but after 30 secs or so I can still hear perfectly, but person I'm calling can only hear broken words and interference. I've had to call back using Virgin and call has been clear.

I reported the fault to 18185 and their reply was that there was no fault with their service, but 'my landline provider may be blocking or impeding the service'.

I've heard nothing of Virgin cable doing this. Is it likely?

Its unlikely . Make a test call via the 020 number this weekend out of your inclusive minutes. If you still have same problem its probaly a fault on 18185.

Thanks jhp just tried this and had no problem. Will go on to try usual 18185 again later and see if problem is still there.

Should have tried this immediately, but person I called was dashing to go out.
