First National Bank PPI claim?

Hi All,
I would really appreciate some advice as to whether I can reclaim PPI taken out on a secured loan in 2001 with First National Bank. The PPI cost was added to the actual loan amount when I took out the policy. Is this is case of mis-selling on the basis of the PPI being a front loaded single premium? The cover would of ran out after 60 months and I have all the paperwork (statement, loan agreement, settlement statement).
All advice greatly appreciated.

I'm only just starting the process for reclaiming, good luck with your claim.
I came on here looking for some advice before I started the process. After doing more research I believe First National Bank is now part of GE money, does anyone know know whether I can send my claim to GE Money or is it too long ago to make a claim?
Thanks.0 -
Yes, you would need to send the claim to GE Money. But be prepared to be refused on time barred grounds. I recently sent a claim in to them, as I myself took a loan with First National in 2001 to be told over the phone that It would improve my chances of acceptance if I took PPI. They wrote back dismissing the claim on time barred as it is over 6 years ago.
Just seems strange as a lot of other banks have been known to go back as far as the ninties.0 -
Hi, we also took out a loan with First National Bank, we went through a company who acted on our behalf, it took over 22 weeks for them to get back to us, and were told that the seller of the policy is no longer trading.
It is so annoying we borrowed quite a lot of money for an extention and were told we had to have the PPI which was quite alot of money in it self, certainly a lesson learned.
Hopefully we maybe able to seek guidance from moneysavingexpert.
Good luck with your claims too, I just do not know where to start next as in the subject of our letter is said GE Money Home Finance Ltd, if there is somewhere I can go to claim this back your guidance would be very much appreciated.
Regards and good luck to thoses who are trying to rightfully claim back your PPI like me.0
