That is quite interesting......how well do you know the whole of Yorkshire. It is hardly Harehills, it is a village on the edge of the Peak District with some of the best schools in West Yorkshire. Seems a bit like me saying that something seems xx because it is in the south east, which encompasses several complete holes and plenty of lovely areas too.

Seems a bit simplistic to me to say Yorkshire is cheap.

Do a rightmove search on HD9 and you will get an impression of how nice some of the villages round here are.

Basically there is a house to the back. As it is on a hill, our kitchen is level with his bedrooms and our cellar is level with his living space. Then our upper two floors overhang the whole property. It is confusing, but is quite common here.

And it is an amazing place to live, we want to be as short a distance as possible and never plan on leaving this area as there isn't a good enough reason to sacrifice the benefits.

Right - finally got it now! Thanks for explaining. Never seen this arrangement before which is why I am a bit slow on the uptake:o

Sorry dont like the grey kitchen units and fireplace have they been painted?. Makes me feel depressed would have loved to have seen a light bright farmhouse type kitchen. But that is my personal taste.

Layout would not suit either but appreciate that for your part of the world this is how it is. If i wanted a cup of tea i would balk at having to keep walking up two flights of stairs to get back to the lounge passing bedrooms on the way.

It would have to be very special to get me to part with your asking price. Maybe younger people could live with it.

Also be careful with the legal fees offer or you'll end up with someone after Compo.

And if Clegg and his mate in power can do anything to get the housing market moving round your way, then I think that people would be Batty not to put an offer in.

Beautifully presented, however confused by the garden space. Is that shed yours if so why is it separated by a smaller fence, it looks like its your neighbours.

If it is yours maybe remove fence give optimum space to the garden

The layout definitely wouldn't suit me and as it looks like a house with a front door that opens onto the pavement, that would be another no-no for me.

I think you have to accept that unusual layouts like this will take much longer to find a buyer in the slow market we have these days. Obviously the price needs to be much keener to at least attract more viewers.

What would put me off is how far I would have to walk with a cuppa to the living room. Is there an easy way the basement could be turned into a den of some sort?

We have found one we would like to buy, but to get any sort of decent garden we are going to have to spend 250k, so time to speak nicely to the bank
