when you tried a reset was your appliance still plugged in?

    What was it?

Do upstares work OK? do they work OK with your appliance.

Have you rechecked your appliance at you other place?

Unplug everything and turn off sockets.

Look for any modifications like spurs to say a garage outbuilding, outside sockets that may have been damaged or removed by the vendors.

Were the electrics working whne you did your own inspection viewing.
Did you do one that did basic checks, electrics, plumbing, heating?

I'm still worried by the bang and the green flash, which is why I think you should be worried. If it just tripped then it's working as it should, but this doesn't sound as if it is...

    Thanks for all the replys.

The house was built in Nov 09. Will the electrics be under any sort of warranty?

The only thing we have had plugged in is a phone charger. This is what alerted us to the fault.

The charger works fine in the kitchen / hallway / master and 3rd bedroom sockets. The living room / bedroom 2 seem to be on the circuit which is faulty.

We spoke to the agents who said the vendors have had no problems in the past. So im ringing an Electrition tomorrow morning to take a look at it.

The electrics were working when we had the viewing because I remember the TV being of but the Sky box showing power.
