Where do I start?

I'm in the position this year of being a single parent looking to take my two girls (18 and 15) away for a couple of days at the end of August ( fly out Fri 24th or Sat 25th August for 3 or 4 nights) It's got to be this late because of GCSE results.
I've always booked holidays with my husband's help so I'm a bit stuck. I need to spend as little as possible (£700 max) but want somewhere we will feel safe as three girls on our own.
I would love to stay at the H10 meditteranean village in cap salou as we have stayed there before, travelling from Liverpool, but I'm just not sure where to start....
Any help gratefully appreciated.

Hi
There are quite a few websites you can look at including:
www.expedia.co.uk
www.laterooms.com
www.lastminute.com
as well as the websites for the high street travel agents.
I'm sure someone will be along with a much more comprehensive list, but I hope this gets you started!

Book the flights first then start looking at places to stay
As soon as you have the flights, take out the insurance0 -
Building your own holiday is fairly easy and there are some good sites to help.
1) Flights - check out Ryanair flights to Reus (for Salou). For a few days hand luggage only should be enough and will keep the costs down.
2) Check out hotels4u.com for hotels in Salou. I like this site as it gives easy to see costs and you can choose Self Catering \ Half board \ All Incl etc when you search and see the difference in price. This helps to easily see if the additional costs of half board etc are worth it. It is run by Thomas Cook. Check out reviews on the site or tripadvisor if you want to know more about them.
3) Use someone like Flexicover for a good deal on travel insurance (single trip will be cheaper unless you (or one of you) will travel again inside a year when annual will be better)
4) Buy insurance , flights and hotel.
5) Think about transfers. Reus airport to Salou and Cap Salou area has a cheap and regular public bus service right outside the terminal and they book you in for your return journey. As you'll know, it's a relatively short transfer too.
6) Check your costs against a site like Alpharooms which pieces the bits together for you and see how it compares. Use them if they are cheaper.
If you use sites like Quidco for cashback you can save on the hotels and insurance sites mentioned too.
Check you've all got in date passports and in date (free) EHIC cards.0 -
Visit sortted.com , and check out the travel section - its very comprehensive (holiday booking (ie travel agents etc), hotels, accommodation...0
