Tried to get some tickets on Friday for a gig via ticketmaster.
Was ready from 8.30 for the 9am sale.
Credit card at the ready.
9am comes.
None left!
So who gets the tickets?
And how?
Do they exist?
Are they allowed to sell them all through o2 priority and if so why not say so and save us all a lot of time?

Its frustrating.
I have been going to the world darts finals for a few years and always managed to get a good seat until this year, they do have a weeks presale for PDC members so I guess more people have joined to take advantage, leaving tight !!!!!!s like me with no hope (it costs to join the PDC).
I didnt get a seat, so not going this year!:(
Maybe something like that happened
Who are the tickets for0 -
It was for the killers in Leeds. I know it's a small venue and they would be in big demand but why pretend. If they sell out on presale then let us know.0

I got front row tickets to my favourite artist a couple of months back, by refreshing the page at 8:50. By 9:15 they had all gone. Sometimes they open it early and that's when they go.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

It is often those with the quickest internet that get popular tickets via ticketmaster as you will find a lot of people did as you did and pushed that button bang on 9am and a few seconds can make all the difference. I usually book in pre-sales now for that reason. Sometimes artists put on extra gigs if they sell out quickly so worth keeping an eye out for that. Also worth ringing the venue that is hosting the event and putting your name down for any returned tickets as several friends have done that for various artists and have got tickets via that method.0

Often the best seats go on fanclub presale but I was interested to see this morning I could get much better seats on http://www.eventim.co.uk than on ticketmaster (both the same prices) for a concert at the Brighton Centre (got 2nd row the day after they went on general sale and 3 days after the presale). I needed to use the choose your seat function rather than let the system choose for me.
Also a couple of times with TM I've found no tickets at 9am (the on-sale time) and then at 10am they put them on sale -it looks like it has sold out when it actually hasn't gone on sale yet.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I'm an old hand at this and was ready from 8.30. It must have been a few seconds that made the difference. Or there were no tickets!0 -

They do come up and often! Genuine folks with good reason for selling. Not out to make a quick buck.
Gumtree is one to try too!0 -
You always hear about tickets selling out in minutes. And it's true, think how many people are sitting there with their computers before 9am trying to get tickets.
Pre sale tickets have a limit, say it's a 1000 capacity venue I reckon 100 or so will be presale. As my friend tried to get presale tickets for a gig once and she was too late, they had sold out. But luckily she managed to get them on general release day.
Look at all the people who missing out on Take That. Sold with 20 minutes, and that was like 10 stadium dates. So almost a million tickets.
Whenever I try to get tickets for a big sell out show, like Take That, I am refreshing the screen every 5 seconds for the 10 minutes that precedes the release time. Also I have other ticket sites up too like See Tickets.0
