Pay using paypal but without showing my identity?

Found a website that have technical information on an expensive item i have. They want a small fee to disclose this. (dont blame them)

I have my doubts and dont want to reveal my identity to them. Mainly my address.

How can i pay without them getting my address?

They accept paypal but my address will be shown on that wont it?

Its not a lot of money to lose so thats not an issue. Its worth the risk.

You can make a payment via paypal without going through your account. I have done this when I have wanted to pay using a CC that wasn't linked to my Paypal account

I think if you send it as a gift payment all they will see is your email address and nothing else.

Yes you can, just list another address on your account, when you come to make the payment it will ask which address you want to use, click on the options and it will show you all the address you have listed, the bottom one will saying something like "use no address" or something like that.

Thanks, I may have done it the naughty way.

I created a paypal account, With a fake name and a house number that doesnt exist.
I sent a gift payment from my account to that one. Then paid them from the new account.

What are the chances paypal will pickup on this and cause problems?

I did think about changing my address on paypal but thought that may cause issues with verifying again.

Have i put my account at risk?

Oh well too late now.

I got my documents via email within 24 hours. So fingers crossed paypal
dont pickup on it.
