Garden Fence

I just wondered if anyone can give me a bit of a hand here.
Basically, in the household there are two cars, one on a drive at the back of the house and the other is parked on the access road at the back of the house infront of someones gate. The gate parked infront of is now wanting to be in use so we have been asked to stop parking there which isn't a problem.
We now have to park somewhere else, but there is nowhere, the road outside has time restrictions. I am trying to sort out if it would be feasible and cheap enough to change the layout of the garden to accommodate two cars without taking more space off the already small garden.
Here is a picture. The black line is currently the fence we have up with a car on the drive,

I am thinking that we could do away with the fence that is up now, put a long one along the back with some sort of gate and open it up to allow parking for two cars on and still have the garden. The garden will probably look bigger without the fence and during summer etc. if the cars are out of the garden we would have the whole space for things.
The only main problem would be opening the gate every time someone wants to come in and leave.
I believe this is the best way to go about things, i mean we could maybe move the current fence over but that would make the garden even smaller.
Could this be done cheap, its not a large space to fence off and i am thinking about something like

but maybe a little more structure solid, two of them to close together to make a large gate when both open, then fill the rest in with some more fence (probably about 1m worth, a solid post where the gate fence would attach onto) and also another solid post at the other side for the other to attach to.
The gate could then have some sort of lock in place to get in and out with.
Any ideas? Cheers!

Why not put in a driveway full width, fence off and gate behind that (so your garden is still secure). You could then prevent people using your drive for turning or parking by installing a couple of bollards: http://www.screwfix.com/p/bolt-down-parking-post/34974
When your cars are there, the bollards remain down as the cars are there anyway, when you go out, you just lift up and lock in place the bollards.
Fence panels will not work as gates, they're not structurally strong enough and will fail quickly - especially if the wind picks up. Gate posts will also need to be sunk deep into the ground to take the weight of the gate.0
