Hotel or B&B near Longleat

Hi we are looking for a cheap nice hotel or B&B up to an hours drive from Longleat safari park. The hotels near are quite expensive as you would expect, which is why we say we wouldn't mind an hours drive if need be to save a few quid. We are looking to stay for two nights. We are not even sure of towns near by so your help will be really appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi the towns nearest to Longleat are Warminster and Frome, where you will find Premier Inn and Travelodge. If you are willing to travel up to an hour you could look at Salisbury, Bath or Wells.

I can't really recommend hotels around as haven't used them, there is a hotel in the centre of Frome called The George Hotel, and two pubs The Archangel and The Cornerhouse but like I say I don't have personal experience.

A hotel we have used in the past, but a long time ago is The House Hotel in Woolverton, if you are specifically looking for something that isn't a chain.

Hi Hunters Lodge near wincanton, not too far from Warminster and they have some lovely rooms and the breakfast is very good.

    Enjoy Longleat.

    Hello

Take a look at the Holiday Inn Salisbury-Stonehenge.

We stayed there a couple of weeks ago and went to Longleat for the day from there - took about 30 minutes. Lovely modern rooms - and they have a Harvester, Pizza Hut, KFC and Co-Op on site should you not want to pay hotel restaurant prices!

If you use the below link you my be lucky and pick up a bargain 2 nights for 1 deal like we did!

For years when going to Longleat we have been going through the monkey jungle and laughed at people who's cars were getting attacked - and nothing has ever happened to ours. This year however a naughty monkey broke off the high level brake light cover and water squirter! £50 later it is now fixed!

    Hope you find somewhere!
