Been reported for details not right but they are !!

Got an email in from ebay saying someone has reported me for hanving "* False or Missing Contact Information - Falsifying or omitting your name, address, and/or telephone number (including use of fax machines or disconnected numbers)." Now this is not true all my details are given and right ! I think it is a malicious attempt by some non payers who I have reported.
What can I do now ??

firstly i would send this email to the spoof address just to be certain, as this happened to me ages ago before i'd sold anthing - although the email sounds slighty different to the one i had, i would still try this. if however its genuine and you are totally correct then don't worry too much, just reconfirm all your bits and bobs and kick up a huge fuss!

although first just try sending it to the spoof thingy.

I would send it to the spoof address of ebay and they are pretty quick at getting back to tell you whether it's dodgy or not....

    Hey

Its not a spoof email as it had no links to my account or to get my information. So im pretty sure it is genuine. How do I kick up a fuss ? Im just worried incase they freeze my account .

As already suggested send to spoof just in case. However, double check all your details in case you have mistyped something. I had a buyer last weekend who paid by paypal. The address looked odd to me so acting on previous advice I had received on here i checked it on the Royal Mail website and it was wrong.

I emailed the buyer who said that she would check it, and when she got back to me apologised as despite having bought several items she had not been aware her address was wrong. It was only a matter of reversed details so a couple of previous items had found their way to her but when I last heard from her she was panicking that two other items bought a week or so before mine hadn't been received.

Also, make sure you are not accidentally bouncing emails, that might be enough to trigger a mail from ebay if some ISPs cannot get through to you.

Good luck in sorting this out

Does it say "Dear eBay Member" or "Dear <name>"?

If it is the former it is a spoof. The latter probably not....

It says " dear ebay name and email address" - is that a spoof ? Have had spoofs before and spotted them a mile away with their " just click here and give us all your details so we can nick your account link" ;)

I asked for someones info the other day through ebay and she emailed me to complain plus there is the non payer who I sent a strike to.
My details are right , I have sent a copy to spoofs anyway as you suggested .I know some people have trouble with not recieving emails but I just have outlook express and there is no problems with that.
I did block one buyer who was giving me grief but ebay told me too as she was harrassing me with emails every five minutes , I had mentioned it on the forums here. The buyer from hell !
I hope it is a spoof . To be honest Im getting a bit disheartned with ebay , had to send two strikes this week ( both have had a month to pay! ) and two of my items I have purchased and paid for have not turned up. The buyers wont reply to my emails. Grrrr and then I get reported ...
