Smallpackages, dont stop posting and contributing to the threads on here because of certain judgemental and quite noticeably arrogant replies to your genuine query about the offer. Just smile xxxThis above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. (SHAKESPEARE, Hamlet, 1600) :kisses2:

Hi Jayne, to be honest you will get a few people who have nothing better to do then abuse other people, you just have to ignore these as there are far more genuine people on here!
Just about the task in question, I feel fantastic about being to write a review about my daughters' School, there is no review written yet for it and she started last September so I am happy to express my thoughts and feelings so far! as for getting something for doing it!! well ....bonus.....
I am sure it is people, like myself, genuinely interested in this that you are looking for! I am sure you will be able to sort through the 'rotters'
anyway...thanks op for this!Angel

Sp can leave or stay as she pleases - it's a free country, but let's not beg, shall we?The original comment by bobmats_shel to which I presume you refer was quite mild and reasonable in fact, plus I suspect very few people have much time for posters who threaten to flounce off in a huff when they've only just arrived.
Disappointed with your post really - you've been around long enough not to be so rude to posters, and is not your comment "judgemental" too? Pots & kettles?
Can we get back on topic please?0 -
see what i mean?:rotfl:"that grady! won't sit next to a black child in church! but eats eggs, shoot right out a chickens !!!!!!" from fried green tomatoes:rotfl::smileyheaMSE is where my friends live :smileyhea0

I just wanted to thank Jayne for this offer. As a marketing idea I think its excellent and am sorry to hear that for some people greed has simply taken over their lives! My partner submitted two reviews for his childrens schools and was grateful to find this useful and helpful site.
I have to say since finding MSE in Jan I love this site but there are some who do seem to sit in judgement. As someone fairly new myself it is really off-putting when someone has a go at you just for expressing your opinion.
Edna I think you missed the point of mum's post - she was being friendly to those new to the site which I think there should be much more of!0 -
I've just read this thread and I can't quite believe it
The whole point of writing the reviews wasn't for the voucher (although it was nice to offer it). It's to write a review for a school you have experience of, and to give other parents as much information as possible from your view point. I'm sorry, but I have to stick to my guns here. Less than 100 words isn't giving enough information. There is a 100 word minimum for a reason, the organisers obviously feel that you need at least this amount to write a helpful review. And as has already been stated, the 100 minimum was in the t&c from the start.
now a mum&skint - judgemental, lmao! Have you actually re-read your post picking apart my comment. Best take a good old nosey in the mirror there. I made a comment, my personal opinion. I didn't call any names. Truthfully, how many of you hurried the review, spending no time on it, just to get the voucher
I feel for the people who didn't see the t&c's and wrote perhaphs just under the 100 words, as they obviously won't be getting a voucher. I personally don't care if I don't receive one, I hopefully helped someone.
Jayne - you're doing a wonderful job :T0 -
Nice post.
And smallpackages is still here and smiling, so everyone's happy hopefully!0 -
copy of email I've just received;
'Excellent. Many thanks. The response has been amazing. As a result I haven't had time to read your review yet. We will be reading all the reviews over the next few days and checking that they meet the 100 word minimum and are written by parents of children currently studying at school. We have set a limit of 2,500 reviews for this promotion and the offer of vouchers will cease when we reach 2,500 reviews on the site. As of 1st April, 2007, we had approximately 2,010 reviews on the site.
Due to the demand for vouchers we will not able to send them out until after Easter. Bear with us.
Thanks again.
Best wishes
Jayne'
It's very easy to spot the 'I want a £10 voucher' reviews... poorly written, no attention to spelling, absolutely no information about the school they are reviewing and hardly any words. Advertising costs a fortune so this is a relatively inexpensive way of promoting the site and building up a bank of reviews. I sincerely hope, and honestly expect, that they won't pay out for some of the junk that is appearing.
how can you say that the £10 Voucher reviews are the badly written ones with spelling mistakes? I can 100% say my review has got no spelling mistakes in it neither is it badly written with no info on the school , i took pride in reviewing my kids school so other parents can use it to see if they find it helpful. I think before making statments like the one above you should have had readevery single one of the voucher reviews, to be abel to judge fairly!0 -

It was on topic, pots and kettles indeed Edna, Im just giving smallpackages some needed support, thanks for your opinion however, I recommended smallpackages to this site. Disappointed in you too ....... QUOTE=Edna_Bucket;4782741].....Having been on the receiving end here recently of a couple of bullies resorting to the "get a life" comments and nastiness myself, it's a bit unfortunate that you have resorted to insults to those people (whoever they are) yourself. It undermines your good comments a bit unfortunately, since you have broken MSE etiquette to make your (valid) point.[/QUOTEThis above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.
