'If you were NCP, how'd you explain its Olympic price doubling?' blog discussion

Why do they need to justify raising their prices? Everyone knows what is going on regardless of what they say. If it's too much to pay, don't park there. Obviously they think that their occupancy will drop by less than half so doubling prices makes sense.0

"People will be desperate to get rid of their cars during the Olympics in order not to miss the start of the events they have tickets for. We are just cashing in, people will pay even extortionate charges. We aren't bothered about our reputation, people will always have to park." (50 words)
PS: The NCP spokesman who issued that message to the press has been removed from office with immediate effect.0 -
NCP are just doing the same as virtually every other business that is anticipating an increases in customer sales/services over the Olympic period - i.e. exploiting us all to the limit.0

Like the hotels! In a way you can't blame them as this is not going to happen again for a long time, but it is cynical.0 -
Bars and eating places may be the exception as it will be very competitive for them, as there are so many of them. Except at the venues of course - captive clientele!0
