Victim of Impersonation CIFAS marker on new application

Hi,
I had my ID stolen and had a CIFAS Victim of impersonation marker put on my file but this tends to slow when applying for things take an eternity. Took me 2 months to open a current account with Halifax.

I was wanting to take out a second card with American Express and was wondering if I will have to go through all the same proving who I am with American Express even though I already have an account with them? Do you tend to have to do all that if you already have an account with the company? All my application information will match the information on my current Amex.

If I do have to go through the hoops, does anyone have any experience with proving who you are to Amex? Is it going to be as stressful and a pain in the !!!! as Halifax?

They said they weren't sure but she did say my application was being finalised.
