I think I already know the answer to this (no), but is there any way of protecting a product that you sell?
I know about vero, but that is for the makers and as my product is not something I actually make I'm not sure if I can do anything.
Basically, I have found a product that I hope will be massive, I brought back some items from America , they are very poular there, all the kids have them.
I had 10 and I could have sold them 100 times over, I have managed to source them in California and have 100 arriving on monday.
what I am afraid of is someone under cutting me on ebay and buying in far greater bulk than I can, especially after putting in all the hard work of finding them etc.
I am planning to heavily advertise them on ebay so hopefully by the time anyone else gets hold of them I will have made a fortune!
they aren't for sale anywhere on british websites, I was told that a few uk shops have them but not many.
If you search ebay.com they are on there at $25-$30, I will be selling them at £12.50. I just hope that they are as popular as I expect them to be!

Unless you developed the product I don't see there is any way to stop others selling the same items as you. I wouldn't worry if like you say there is a big demand for them then there is room for everyone. sometimes competition is good because it makes people more aware of the item you are trying to sell thus increasing sales. and once there is a large demand could you hope to meet it by yourself?0

If you have an Exclusivity Contract with the manufacturer for the UK market then you can stop anyone else selling in the UK.Debt Free Wannabee - Updated 13/08/2007

Will the amount of duty that you have to pay on the shipment make them less profitable than the 10 you brought over?If I screw my eyes up tight I can just about see where you're coming from0 -
