UKPC Aintree

Hello everyone, an just a first on how helpful this site has been, but now my question

the other day my work van was parked in aintree over 2 staff bays for about 10 minutes

i came back to find an "employee" taking a nice photo of my van after putting a "fine" on it

now i've read all the posts saying ignore it, but im guessing all the letters are going to go to my work (a pretty big company) who are probably going to forward to me

now im not saying i put the van there but it was parked wrongly and i did briefly speak to "employee" asking how much etc

im thinking sod them there cheeky !!!!!!!s and know a few people that have ignored

my main concern is them trying to say it was me who parked, and how there going to find out who drives the van (i.e what right do they have with the DVLA to find out details)

if it was my personal car this wouldn't be getting posted as they would be getting ignored

these companys just take the !!!! abit, if the fine wasn't so much i could understand but there just pure money making scams

im just wondering what the next course of action would be best

thanks in advance....

The chances are if it's a company of size it will be a leased vehicle, if so you need to first find who the lease company is, then get the terms of the actual lease. The chances are it won't mention private parking tickets. You need to ensure that they don't pay it or your company whos handbook will probably say fines. You need to be proactive with this, and you need to act quickly.

Others will offer further advice that I've forgotten to add
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

In this case I would do a fake appeal and advise you were the driver giving your address etc and then ignore them:)
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

Ignore the PPC, but you do need to deal with the car hire/leasing company ...

They could pay the charge and then pass the charge on to you, plus an administration charge. There are days, when I wonder who are the bigger crooks. These administration charges must be a nice little earner for them.

Their contract T&Cs usually have a clause about the driver being responsible for fines or penalties. Now, that's fair enough, for legally enforceable fines or penalties from councils, police, train operators and Transport for London. But this is a speculative invoice from a private company. If they’ve paid it, that's up to them. If they’ve taken the money from your account, ask for it back, or else you’ll sue them for breach of their own contract.

Also advise them of this ...

... and the British Vehicle Rental & Leasing Association (BVRLA) guidelines on private parking tickets ...

You could be Agent Smith, then everytime they repeat their silly requests you could ask if there is a glitch in the Matrix
