Thinking about a Ford S Max

We are thinking of changing our VW Touran for a new MPV ish type car and have been looking at the S Max. The Touran has been a good ish servant to the family but its 7 yrs old now and things are starting to go on it. The S Max seems to tick all the boxes but I was wondering if the 1.6tdci has enough grunt for the size of car?

Does anyone have any experiences or this engine particularly MPG, and general thoughts on the car itself.

And before someone says why not another Touran? It IS THE BEST family car but God its dull, and the thought of another 7 yrs in one is too much for my wife!

All I can recommend is you go and test drive one.

It's ok asking others what they think but opinions differ greatly and what might be acceptable to one is not necessarily good enough for you.

The S max is not a bad car. You will get people saying they are poor, others think they are great.

Weigh it up against others such as Peugeot 5008, Zafira etc.
