Power Shower not working

Hi Folks,
I have a power shower pumped by a Showerforce easiboost pump. Over the last week it has stopped working. To begin with it would pump for about 30 seconds before stopping. Now it will not pump at all. I have checked for air locks and there does not appear to be any.
The pump is about nine years old.

it could be the flow switch or the pump might just be worn out, at 9 yrs old it's prob not worth repairingI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

or it could just be a loose electrical connection caused by 9 years of vibration.

Thanks for the replies folks.
I think power is OK. I know 240v is getting to the little circuit board.
Is the flow switch something built in to the pump?0 -
9 years is pretty good going for a shower pump. We had to replace ours late last year - it was 10 years old. Thankfully, we managed to replace it with an identical one by the same manufacturer that was half price at Screwfix and our plumber only charged £60 to fit it - it took him 20 mins.
In fact, our plumber said that I had got it cheaper than he could get it from his plumbing merchants so definitely worth shopping around.
Fingers crossed it's something simple but at 9 years old - do be prepared to consider having to replace it.
Good luck

Having said that we could go on trying to track this one down and a replacement pump should be climbing its way up your agenda by now.

There's not really much to a pump, aare you able to turn the water off and take it out of the circuit for a bit and check a few things?
Take the end covers off and see if the diaphrams are clean and not sticking, if they're ok then it's probably the bearings slipping on the shaft so needs new bearings. Not so easy to change the bearings if you've never done it before though.
I should imagine as well the little reed valves are probably flat by now too.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Or it could be that the filters at the inlets are furred with limescale. If they are blocked there won't be enough flow to activate the pump. We have to descale ours regularly.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

£180/hr - I'm in the wrong game
yes, I know he had to drive to your house and back, but that's still not a bad rate (especially IF he didn't pay tax on it)
Yet another person who has no idea how a business works & tbh I can't be bothered to explain it yet againI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
